After the mysterious body was found in Plesching, emergency services retrieved a lifeless body from the inn. It is unclear who it is. And in the Wolfgangsee, a young athlete is still missing.
Not a pleasant task: the emergency services in Upper Austria are currently busy with two bodies. One – a 23-year-old Pole – is suspected in Lake Wolfgang. The young man probably went down there with his paddle on August 18. On Thursday, a large contingent again went in search of the missing person: a helicopter flew over the lake, corpse dogs sniffed and a robot dived – all unsuccessfully.
Fingerprints no longer possible
As reported, another lifeless body was found on Thursday: a hiker discovered a body on the banks of the Inn near Schardenberg. “You should have been in the water for a long time,” says the national police. And so long that it is still unclear whether it is a man or a woman. Therefore, fingerprints are no longer possible.
Do not report matching missing persons
Because there is no appropriate missing person report, the identity is still completely unclear. The body could have washed ashore from Germany due to the heavy rainfall. “Our investigators assume that more bodies could turn up due to the high level,” police said. At the beginning of August, a dead woman was found in Plesching, who could not be identified until 17 days later.
