The most recent find of a body in Vienna’s Neubau district is a mystery. Despite an autopsy, the cause of death is still unknown. The investigations are still in progress.
Due to an unpleasant smell, the police were sent to the Neubau district of Vienna on Friday. The police were able to enter the apartment through an open window in the courtyard of the apartment complex. Searching the apartment, they soon found a body lying under a bed. Due to the unusual finding situation, the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department was informed, which took over further official action.
Cause of death unclear
In the afternoon hours, an autopsy was already performed on the body. To date, no cause of death could be determined. It could therefore not be ruled out that the death was caused by someone else’s fault. However, the coroner found no signs of violence emanating from a blunt or sharp object.
