Catastrophe in Libya, sentence reduction of La Manada and sustainable mobility

These are the topics that monopolize it main headlines from Wednesday September 13:

– Catastrophe in Libya: Authorities in eastern Libya this Tuesday increased the number of deaths to 6,238 and the number of missing people to 9,100 as a result of the floods caused by the passage of the Cyclone Daniel in the northeastern corner of the country.

– Reduction of La Manada’s sentence: The Supreme Court of Navarra (TSJN) has reduced by one year the prison sentence imposed by the Supreme Court on one of the five convicts for the group assault during the 2016 Sanfermines – from 15 to 14 years – in application of the punishment known as law of “Only yes means yes”. The victim’s defense has already announced this will file an appeal.

Sustainable mobility: Today the municipal councils are presenting the Mobility week. The Sustainable Mobility Act, which is expected to be adopted before the end of the year, will allow municipalities to charge a fee for driving on part of their territory, and even in its entirety, if they decide that this is their zone with low emissions.
