The first indictment against the broken rock gang, which is also said to be close to Nazi circles, has been completed. This time, for a 43-year-old, it’s “just” about drug offenses – it’s just the beginning.
The trial of the banned rock gang “Bandidos” begins with one aspect, which – as reported in detail – had hoarded a huge arsenal of weapons, Nazi memorabilia and also drugs. Six men were arrested, including the 43-year-old against whom the Public Prosecution Service of Ried has now filed charges. Namely for possessing or distributing one kilo of amphetamine, also known as ‘speed’. Market value: 10,000 euros.
Leader of the neo-Nazi group
The suspect belonged to the management level of the former neo-Nazi group ‘Object 21’. “The investigation into the found weapons and the suspicion of reuse is still ongoing. But those under the Narcotic Substances Act have been completed, so this part is now being prosecuted,” explains Alois Ebner of the Ried Public Prosecution Service. Penalty for drug possession: maximum five years in prison.
Any conviction must be taken into account by the judge if other crimes are charged.
160 firearms
The “Bandidos” are considered a criminal organization in Austria. During thirteen house searches, approximately 160 firearms were found, including 25 submachine guns.
