Church burglars have struck again in Burgenland. A total of four places of worship were affected by them. They were looking for cash.
Thieves are once again planning to cause mischief in Burgenland. In recent days, the unknown people have tampered with a total of four churches. They always used brute force to enter places of worship.
Money stolen from victim box
In Oberpullendorf they broke open the sacristy door and searched the rooms before fleeing with an unknown amount of victim money. The perpetrators also broke into the sacristy in Weppersdorf and searched everything for cash. Finally they found what they were looking for in a small metal cash register. They also took the coins that were in the offering box.
Escape empty-handed
The burglars apparently had less success in the Rattersdorf pilgrimage church. There they managed to force open the window – probably using a screwdriver – but nothing was stolen. The criminals in Unterloisdorf also had to leave empty-handed. The sacristy door was probably broken open with a crowbar, but there was no material damage.
