It was almost inevitable: the last generation also planned a protest at the large Aufsteirern in Graz. After just a few minutes they were removed from the main stage.
Shortly after 4 p.m., some representatives of local climate activists took to the large stage in the central square and tried to linger there. “It would be better to have a brief disruption now than to permanently destroy our livelihoods,” said spokeswoman Lara Fuisz, explaining the action. They drew attention to the demands of the Climate Council with a poster.
Action partially unnoticed
Moderator Kathi Wenusch quickly intervened and the activists were removed from the front of the stage – the incident went unnoticed by many attendees. The climate adhesives were then protected by security.
