Four against one in a scrap yard
They were also on a burglary tour in September 2022. After two of them broke into an apartment in Vienna-Floridsdorf and robbed a sleeping woman there, they needed a place to sleep. In the sights of the Romanians: an old demolition shack. But it already had a homeless resident.
“You four attacked one person alone and almost killed him — just like that,” says the prosecutor, describing the brutality the homeless man had to experience when the men entered the hut. They knocked him down, kicked him when he was already on the ground. In between hits, they offered the man a cigarette, which he was allowed to smoke. Just keep beating him up. With his last strength he managed to save himself on the street.
Life-threatening injuries after a beating
The injuries were so severe that he was charged with attempted murder. However, all four men deny an intent to kill collectively. You had a “happy night at the gas station” and were drunk. Another day of trial is needed to hear witnesses.
