A harvest worker in Kitzeck (Styria) suffered an extremely unfortunate injury on Wednesday morning: she slipped while harvesting grapes and became trapped under a tractor.
The 51-year-old Slovenian woman was helping with the harvest in a steep vineyard when she slipped and fell – right in front of a tractor full of grapes traveling uphill on a feeder road. Although the 51-year-old driver applied emergency braking, the tractor hit the woman.
According to the Fresing-Kitzeck fire brigade, who were on duty like the comrades from Heimschuh, she was trapped under the vehicle. The Slovenian woman suffered serious injuries in the hip area and an ambulance took her to LKH Wagna.
