Another Carinthian lost his life during a hike. The pensioner climbed Terrarossa with friends before a tragic accident occurred on the way back.
The hiking group was hiking in the Julian Alps in Italy on Wednesday when the 76-year-old Carinthian fell about seventy meters shortly before 1 p.m. It is not yet clear exactly how the tragic accident could have happened. Apparently the hiker had previously suffered a medical emergency.
All help came too late for walkers
His traveling companions immediately alerted the emergency services, but all help came too late for their friend. After several attempts to revive him, the body was finally recovered and then transported to Austria.
