On Thursday morning around 9:30 am, an 81-year-old from Dornbirn drove his white Audi TT out of the company exit in Hittisau and intended to drive onto the L205. For reasons that are still unclear, the man, who was transporting an acquaintance, drove onto the highway without braking and collided with the trailer of a tractor, which was driving on the L205 towards Lingenau at the time.
Lenker had to go to the hospital
The 81-year-old Audi driver was injured in an unspecified degree in the collision and had to be taken by ambulance to the city hospital in Dornbirn. His passenger and the 38-year-old driver of the tractor were unharmed in the accident. There was property damage to both vehicles involved.
