Two Palestinians die after being shot by Israeli army during operation in West Bank

Rising tensions in recent months have resulted in the deaths of around 190 Palestinians and 25 Israelis, amid fears of a widespread outbreak of violence.

At least Two Palestinians died this Sunday after being shot by Israeli soldiers during a new operation carried out in the Nur Shams refugee camp, located around the city of Tulkarem in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated in a message on its account on the social network Facebook that the deceased was Asid abú Ali, from 21 yearsand Abdelrahman abu Dagash, from 32 yearsbefore specifying that “they were shot in the head during the occupation’s aggression against Tulkarem.”

According to information collected by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces carried out an operation at dawn with military bulldozers, which led to clashes in the refugee campwhich also suffered material damage to roads and streets.

The Israeli army, in turn, has indicated that a soldier was injured during the operation and has emphasized that it resulted in the destruction of a building used as a coordination center for operations by Palestinian armed groups.

The increased tensions of recent months have led to the deaths of approximately 190 Palestinians and 25 Israeliswhile there are fears of a general outbreak of violence.

Tensions have risen especially since June after a Israeli operation in Jenin, the largest operation since the end of the Second Intifadaalmost two decades ago, killing at least twelve Palestinians, injuring more than a hundred and displacing thousands.
