An unusually large number of motorists were involved in a traffic accident in Kuchl on Friday afternoon. An accident took place about 500 meters in the middle of the city center and six cars were damaged. Two people were taken to hospital by the Red Cross with injuries.
It was almost impossible for tow trucks to get through
The dodging traffic from the Tauern highway made it even more difficult. “There was a lot of traffic because of the tunnel construction sites on the A10 in the center. The tow trucks almost didn’t get through,” says operations manager Andreas Struber. The Kuchl fire brigade was on duty with 19 men and five vehicles.
She directed traffic and cleared the road of accident-prone cars. In addition, emergency services tied up fuel that had been spilled on the road during the accident.
