Tragic report from the director of Salzburg: a 32-year-old truck driver died in hospital in Schwarzach on Friday.
The reason was the serious injuries that the Bosnian suffered on Wednesday afternoon in an accident on the A10 near Hüttau. A Serbian driver (44) had stopped his truck because of the traffic jam. The next driver, the affected Bosnian (32), crashed his truck into the stationary vehicle.
Firefighters had to use heavy equipment to get the 32-year-old out of the driver’s cabin. The 32-year-old was then flown to hospital by rescue helicopter. The 44-year-old was also injured in the accident. Alcohol tests were negative. The highway was closed due to the accident.
