Incredible scenes are said to have taken place in Naarn in Upper Austria on Monday morning. An American Stafford attacked a jogger and literally mauled her. The young woman (she is said to be between 20 and 40 years old) succumbed to her serious injuries on the spot.
Whether the American Stafford was on a leash or not is still being investigated. What is certain is that the dog was able to break away from its owner and attack the approaching jogger. The dog then literally mauled the jogger. The woman died on the spot.
The owner was also seriously injured in the incident and was taken to the Kepler clinic in Linz.
