An argument between two men (54 and 20 years old) completely escalated at Innsbruck’s main station on Sunday afternoon. After the older man first insulted the younger man and then broke a glass bottle, the 20-year-old struck.
The argument took place on Sunday around 3:30 pm on the forecourt of Innsbruck’s main station. As police reported, a 54-year-old local man initially insulted a 20-year-old Syrian and became increasingly aggressive. Finally, the older man broke a glass bottle.
54-year-old in clinic, suspected perpetrator fled
The Syrian hit the Austrian in the face with his fist, after which he fell to the ground. The rescue team had to take him to the clinic with injuries.
The 20-year-old left the scene, but police were able to locate him after a short search. He is now reported to be at large.
