The Basque government on Tuesday approved an additional 0.5% salary increase for civil servants in the Basque Autonomous Community, which will be paid retroactively from January 1 this year.
This additional increase, added to the previously approved increase of 2.5% for 2023, represents a total increase of 3% compared to the fees in effect on December 31, 2022. The estimated cost of this increase will be 20,793,298 euros amounts.
The agreement proposal from the advisor of the Department of Public Administration and Self-Government, Olatz Garamendi, complies with the basic rules that provide for an additional increase of 0.5% in the event that the sum of the harmonized CPI for the year 2022 and the September this year was higher than 6%.
