A traffic accident in the Salzburger Flachgau claimed one life on Tuesday morning. The handlebars of an e-bike collided with a tractor. All help came too late for him.
Salzburg Flachgau, Tuesday morning shortly after 9 a.m.: A 43-year-old from Flachgau drives his tractor on the B147 (Braunauer Straße) towards Straßwalchen. The tragic scenes then take place in the municipality. According to the tractor driver, the 69-year-old from the Braunau district suddenly drove into the middle of the road and then collided with the multi-ton vehicle.
Autopsy ordered
First responders tried to resuscitate the Upper Austrian, but were unsuccessful. The man died at the scene of the accident. An alcohol test on the tractor driver was negative. The Salzburg public prosecutor has ordered an autopsy. The Red Cross was on site with an emergency doctor, an ambulance and an emergency helicopter (Christophorus 14).
