On Thursday morning, shots were fired at a school in the German city of Bremerhaven. One person is said to have been seriously injured at Lloyd High School. A perpetrator has been caught. A police spokesperson could not confirm rumors of a second perpetrator.
As “Nord24” reports, a student heard the shots and called the police from the restroom.
The high school students barricaded themselves in their classrooms after the shots. Police are currently searching the property and are urging residents to avoid adjacent streets.
School staff injured
One person was seriously injured and taken to the surrounding Reinkenheide clinic. According to unconfirmed information, it would be an employee of the school.
The Berliner Zeitung reports a second perpetrator who is still on the run with a crossbow. The management is not confirming this information for the time being.
