You can earn well over a year’s supply of Leberkassemmerl in Passau – provided you have relevant information to help you catch someone who wanted to break into Germany’s only Leberkaspepi branch. But owner Ela Strassinger does not have high expectations.
“It is quite busy in the Innstrasse in Passau, even at night there is traffic,” explains Ela Strassinger, franchisee of the only Leberkas Pepi in Germany. “I am still not very optimistic that the perpetrator or perpetrators will be found.” The police are investigating, but since no damage was caused during the burglary attempt, apart from a broken fly screen, the matter is not with the Bavarian officials. ‘to-do list is at the top.
Conditions negotiable
“Of course I hope they find the person who does such nonsense – because apart from Leberkäse there is nothing to get from us!”, says Strassinger. The German franchise branch offers virtually the same range as the main branch in Linz. “If anyone has seen something, I am happy to pay the reward – the exact conditions are negotiable,” the Bavarian smiles.
