The Air Force Command exercise “Caveman Allegory 23” will take place over Austria from October 9 to 13. During the exercise there will be more air traffic at Hinterstoisser air base in Zeltweg and at Brumowski air base in Langenlebarn.
The purpose of this exercise is to train the interaction between forces and assets from all components of the Air Force, including support forces, using Air Force tactical procedures.
In addition to the air bases mentioned, the other flight movements during the exercise mainly take place between Linz and Langenlebarn and along the A1 motorway and north to the Waldviertel.
“Spirit of innovation and high motivation”
“Soldiers must master their skills in every conceivable situation and at all times of the day and night. This requires regular training. The exercise ‘Caveman Allegory 23’ will once again demonstrate that our troops are extremely capable and also have a spirit of innovation and high motivation,” said Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner (ÖVP).
“Slow Mover Protection”
In “Caveman Allegory 23” the protection of foreign convoys is practiced as part of a protective operation as part of military national defense against attacks on the ground and from the air (“Slow Mover Protection”). About 150 employees from airspace surveillance, air support and aviation and anti-aircraft troop schools are participating.
