Horrible workplace accident Friday afternoon in Seefeld in Tyrol: A 44-year-old local man got his hand stuck in the grab arm of a crane. Part of his finger was cut off.
The serious accident happened on Friday around 3:15 p.m. Gravel was spread on the roof of a single-family home with a crane. As the crane operator closed the grab arm, the 44-year-old worker reached inside.
“As a result, one of the man’s fingers became trapped in the gripping arm and the first limb was severed,” police reported.
By helicopter to the clinic
After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the local man was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck by emergency medical helicopter.
