Protection of property has increased – demonstrators in Vienna cheer terror against Israel

Date:

Terrorists from the Islamist group Hamas have launched an unprecedented attack on Israel and kidnapped civilians. Activists took this as an opportunity to talk about Palestine’s “self-defense” in Vienna and wave flags as they sang and danced.

As hundreds died and came under fire in Israel, Palestinians marched in Vienna. After a gathering on Mariahilfer Straße, some celebrated with flags on Ballhausplatz (see below). There were also similar meetings in several German cities. In Berlin, the organization “Samidoun Germany”, which is committed to the “liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea”, handed out sweets to passers-by. In the Palestinian territories, terrorist attacks are often celebrated in this way.

“’Freedom Struggle’ through hostage taking and murder”
“What is happening in Israel right now is what is meant when people chant ‘Intifada’ during demonstrations in Europe,” Bini Guttmann, member of the Executive Council of the World Jewish Congress, explained on Platform ‘ by taking hostages and murdering civilians.

Increased protection for Israeli units
In response to the attack by the terrorist organization Hamas, Israeli facilities in Germany and Austria will now increasingly come under the supervision of the police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution. At the request of the “Krone” it was said that they work closely with the Israeli religious community.

“The Office for the Protection of the Constitution takes action against all forms of Islamist extremism and terrorism. He also fights against those who finance or try to legitimize terrorism and its terrible acts,” emphasized Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs increases the security level
The local Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised against all non-essential travel to Israel. The alert level for the country has been increased from two to four (out of a possible six). Meanwhile, AUA and parent company Lufthansa have suspended all flights to Israel – initially until October 9.
