The 65-year-old from Krenglbach was doing forest work alone on Saturday around 11:30 am. He used the front loader of his tractor to bring tree tops and larger branches onto a pile of rubble. Because his wife (68) could not reach him by phone around 3 p.m., she went looking for her husband, found him around 3:45 p.m. – and made a gruesome discovery.
Caught lifeless under the tires
The 65-year-old lay lifeless under the left front tire of his tractor. The 65-year-old was freed together with a neighbor. The emergency doctor could only determine death. According to initial investigations, the old farmer probably got out of the cab of the vehicle as the tractor apparently drove back onto the gently sloping pasture. The man was run over by the left front tire and trapped.
