A farmer (39) in Pöllau (Styria) was seriously injured on Saturday. He fell about 20 meters with his tractor and had to be rescued by the fire brigade.
The serious accident happened around 7 p.m. At that moment, the farmer was driving his tractor along the Rabenwald municipal road towards Pöllau. Suddenly he left the road and fell with the vehicle about 20 meters.
Difficult recovery
To save him, the emergency doctor, fire brigade personnel and Red Cross helpers climbed over and treated him. In the meantime, a climbing facility was constructed with ropes and ladders. After being rescued, the man was flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter.
