The Shah of Persia and his beautiful wife Farah Diba mingled with the spectators and were said to have tried out the women’s descent in the Axamer Lizum disguised as a sports official. The Vienna Philharmonic played and spectators were taken to Innsbruck by special Federal Railways trains.
