Man seriously injured: driver lost control and crashed into bridge

Fatal traffic accident Monday morning in East Tyrol: A 20-year-old Turk lost control of his car in Dölsach, left the road and crashed into a bridge at full speed. The young man suffered serious injuries.

According to police, the devastating accident took place around 7:30 am. The Turk was driving his car on the B100 Drautal Straße towards Lienz when, for an unknown reason, he crossed the right side of the road near Dölsach.

“The car then drove a few meters across the ditch and eventually crashed into a bridge,” investigators said. The force of the impact seriously injured the driver.

By helicopter to the hospital
After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the 20-year-old was flown by rescue helicopter to Klagenfurt State Hospital. The car was total.
