While walking with her dog on Monday evening, a 71-year-old woman from Villach was suddenly attacked by two men.
The woman from Villach walked with her dog on the cane path in Villach shortly before 9 p.m. “The two previously unknown men attacked the woman and seriously injured her,” police said. “They stole the woman’s cell phone and left her on the ground.” A 75-year-old witness observed the crime from a distance, called the police and came to the woman’s aid.

“The 71-year-old was taken to the Villach LKH by the emergency services. A manhunt was immediately launched, involving several police patrols,” the police continued. “The mobile phone was recovered and found in a hedge – the men are believed to have thrown it away as they fled.” Unfortunately, the search for the perpetrators had to be stopped at 10:40 PM without results.
One perpetrator was a 30-year-old man wearing a hood and riding a bicycle; There is no information about the second perpetrator. The Villach police are now conducting further investigations.
