Eight days after the bus accident in Mestre near Venice, thirteen injured people are still in Italian hospitals. Six of them are still in intensive care, two are still in mortal danger. The health authorities announced this on Wednesday.

There are still a Ukrainian girl and a Spanish woman in hospital in Padua, whose situation is classified as critical. Two German siblings, aged four and thirteen, are transferred from Treviso Hospital to a hospital in their hometown of Leipzig on Thursday. This way they are closer to their loved ones.
As reported, 21 people died in the bus accident in Mestre, near Venice, on October 3. A campsite shuttle bus fell from a bridge onto the railway and caught fire. Establishing the identity of the victims then became difficult. 18 other people were injured.

Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro on Tuesday received three African workers who were among the first to help at the accident site. They jumped into the burning bus and rescued several passengers.
