On a construction site in Lambach, a serious accident happened in front of colleagues: two formwork panels fell on an electrician, who was seriously injured. The cause of the accident was human error.
An 18-year-old from Wels was removing two large, connected formwork panels at a construction site in Lambach. The panels, each weighing 450 kilograms and measuring 3.30 by 2.40 meters, would be lifted away by crane. But the worker overlooked the fact that they were not yet on the hook when he loosened the anchor rod.
Suddenly the formwork panel tilted and fell on a 56-year-old electrician from Wels who was working in front of it. The Croatian national was literally buried under it and rescued from her distress by colleagues. But she suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown in an emergency helicopter to the Wels Clinic after receiving first aid.
