In another incident involving an animal, a five-year-old boy suffered significant injuries in the Unterland on Thursday. The boy was taken to the clinic in Innsbruck.
The local boy was walking with his mother in the Kufstein district on Thursday. At around 2.20pm, at an unnoticed moment, the boy entered a field separated by an electric fence. Several horses grazed there.
Child fell
As the animals approached the child, the five-year-old child fell and was hit in the face by a horse’s hoof. The mother (45) immediately raised the alarm. The seriously injured but responsive child was first treated by the emergency physician and then taken by ambulance to the clinic in Innsbruck.
