The “Krone” heard about a terrible bloody act that took place about a month ago in front of a bar in Kaprun. An act that will have lifelong consequences for the victim: in the form of permanent facial scars. And all because the person involved wanted to protect a woman from another man.
What happened? It was September 10 – at night, around half past four. A stateless person (21) with Arab roots stood in front of a bar. His ex-girlfriend was also around with other people. As he approached her, a young man stood protectively in front of her and asked the 21-year-old to please go away and leave her alone. That probably made the 21-year-old angry: according to information from ‘Krone’, he then called seven to eight friends. The group attacked the brave locals and his brother. They hit the victim with punches. When the man who wanted to protect the woman was on the ground, he was also violently kicked.
Bloody attacks with broken beer bottles
But that was not all: the probably jealous attacker took an empty beer bottle in his hand, smashed it at a nearby fountain and attacked the Pinzgauer with it. The victim suffered several cuts to his face. With serious consequences: the wounds later had to be stitched in the hospital and the scars will probably remain. That is precisely why the Public Prosecution Service is investigating the suspicion of intentional serious physical injury with lasting consequences.
Two suspects are now in custody
Since then, the attacker has been in custody in Puch prison – together with another accomplice, an 18-year-old. In addition, two more accomplices were identified.
The investigation continues. In the event of an indictment and a corresponding conviction, the attacker could face a prison sentence of one to fifteen years under Article 87 of the Criminal Code.
