On Saturday evening, a man was found seriously injured by police officers in the Au district of Venice. Passers-by had previously observed a fight between young people and subsequently alerted the officers.
Passers-by raised the alarm on Saturday evening after noticing an argument between a group of young people in Honiger-Au-Park. When foot police officers arrived, they found an injured person on the ground. At the same time, patrol cars were alerted to the Praterstern location as a person was discovered with a knife in his thigh.
Eyewitnesses report that several people attacked the victim, one of whom allegedly stabbed her with a knife. The seriously injured person received first aid from police officers and, after emergency medical care from the Vienna Professional Rescue Service, was taken to a hospital.
Suspects hid under car
An immediate search was successful: two suspects who initially fled and hid under a car were temporarily arrested. The suspect, who is suspected of stabbing the victim, has also been arrested. They are Afghan nationals aged 16, 19 and 21.
