-Israel-Hamas war: Israel denies a ceasefire in southern Gaza. According to Egyptian security sources quoted by the Reuters agency, Egypt, Israel and the United States had agreed on a ceasefire (from 8 a.m. in the Basque Country) and the opening of the Rafah border crossing.
-Euskadi Literature Prizes: The Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government awards seven Euskadi Literature Prizes every year. The four that are missingLiterature in Spanish, Literary Translation in Basque, Essay in Basque and Essay in Spanish, are announced today.
–Start vaccination in Navarre: The Ministry of Health of the Government of Navarra starts today, October 16, the joint vaccination campaign against influenza and Covid-19 for the population aged 60 years or over (approximately 160,000 people in the regional community) and just over 7,500 people with diseases considered high risk. Vaccination of health and social care staff will begin on October 23.
