The Salzburg Red Cross has lost approximately 147,000 digital documentation sheets. As part of the rescue organization’s corona vaccination campaign, the forms were completed by many Salzburgers. The digitized forms with personal data can currently only be partially retrieved.
During the corona pandemic, the Salzburg Red Cross coordinated vaccination and testing stations in the state. For the vaccination operation, Salzburg residents had to fill out a form with their details. Address, date of birth and other personal information were transferred to the Red Cross. According to the Salzburg Red Cross, approximately 147,000 of these digitized documents cannot be found.
Incompletely recorded digitally
The documents containing personal data are incompletely recorded digitally. According to the Red Cross, most of the originals have been destroyed. The incident mainly affected the data sheets of people who went to the Red Cross for vaccination in the city of Salzburg and northern Flachgau.
Residents of Salzburg could be vaccinated against Corona at the Red Cross vaccination lines. The first vaccination was possible, but also second and booster vaccinations. You have registered on the Red Cross homepage. After you have received a TAN code, you can make an appointment for the vaccination.
