In solidarity, it is said, an Israeli flag was raised in front of Klagenfurt’s town hall. It was deliberately set on fire on Monday evening.
On Monday around 7 p.m., an eyewitness in front of the town hall in Klagenfurt observed previously unknown perpetrators attempting to tear down and set fire to the Israeli flag hoisted there.
“Carbine broken off”
“A burn hole of about eight centimeters has been made in the flag. “In addition, a carabiner that attached the flag to the flagpole was broken off,” police said.
The flag was removed by municipal staff. The material damage caused is not yet known.
