Mother desperate – “My injured son no longer wants to go to school”

Date:

After the bloody scissor attack on a primary school in Mühlviertel, it is still unclear what exactly happened. What is clear is that the victim’s family is shocked and desperate. The mother is worried about her seven-year-old son. “My injured son no longer wants to go to school.”

The scissor drama at a Mühlviertler primary school, in which the upper lip of a seven-year-old was cut off, has a huge impact on the victim’s family. “The stress we have been under since the incident has been enormous. “Apparently all means are being used to sweep everything under the carpet,” complains Tina Fink (41), mother of the injured student. According to the son, a person sitting next to him attacked him with a pair of scissors during math class. At a time when the teacher had temporarily left the classroom.

Statements against statements
However, both the school and the education board remain of the opinion that there was no intent, but an accident.

Mother hires a lawyer
“I will not allow my son to be portrayed as a liar, that is why I have hired a lawyer,” emphasizes the mother, who also reported the incident to the police. “It should not be primarily about the good reputation of the school, but about the safety of your own children.” The son, who was allegedly bullied massively in the past, now needs psychological care. “He feels very bad, he has anxiety attacks and doesn’t want to go to school anymore.”

Conversation at school
On Tuesday, the mother received a call from a teacher who asked her to send her son back to class next week so that they could process the incident together. “The class should explore what happens when conflict arises and someone becomes aggressive. But I will certainly not force my traumatized child to return to this school.”
