On October 16, workers in warehouses 7, 8 and 9 of Division 4 of the factory returned to work as soon as the measurements were correct.

The commission has indicated that “more than 300 workers have been exposed to asbestos as a result of a corporate culture that puts production above health” and confirmed that in recent years “more than 60 CAF workers have died as a result of asbestos”.

The company’s management decided, “against the opinion of the prevention representatives”, that after the asbestos removal work carried out in August, the workers would later return to the warehouses “although they already looked extremely dirty”, he indicated.

He stated that the company assures that “it has done everything possible” to reverse the situation, but “it has been the commission” that “has promoted the vast majority of measures from the beginning and thanks to this the exposure has not been bigger.” .” “.

Today, workers staged a two-hour strike to denounce the events of the summer.
