Innsbruck-West – Driver (32) fled from burning minibus

Difficult situation for a driver on the Inntal highway. Smoke suddenly appeared in the vehicle – and then everything happened very quickly.

On Saturday around 1:20 p.m., the local driver (32) drove her minivan along the A12 towards the west. When the woman smelled a burning odor while driving, she decided to quickly leave the Innsbruck-West exit.

But when smoke suddenly spread inside the vehicle, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle, got out and could already see flames. Innsbruck’s professional fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire. The minibus was completely destroyed and the driver was not injured. The Innsbruck-West exit was closed for about an hour for firefighting and clean-up work.
