On Saturday evening, a collision occurred between a small truck and a car on Hallegger Straße near Krumpendorf am Wörthersee, in which the driver (21) was injured.
A 35-year-old from Klagenfurt was driving his small truck on Hallegger Straße (L 75) near Hallegger Senke towards Krumpendorf around 8 p.m. when he jerked his vehicle due to a large insect in the driver’s cabin and ended up in the oncoming lane. He tried to shoo the insect away from the vehicle. He collided with the car of a 21-year-old from the Klagenfurt district.
The driver suffered minor injuries and had to be taken by ambulance to the Klagenfurt accident hospital. The 35-year-old was unharmed. Significant material damage was caused to both vehicles. The Krumpendorf volunteer fire brigade was on duty with three vehicles and twenty men; the L75 had to be closed on both sides until 9.30 pm to allow recovery of the vehicle.
