As reported, a 52-year-old shot his ex-wife (47) in Styria last Saturday and then committed suicide. The autopsy of the two bodies has now been completed.
The horrific crime took place just after 7am. The daughter of the 47-year-old victim went to the upstairs apartment around 7:30 am and eventually found the two people there. After making the emergency call to the Red Cross, she began resuscitation measures on her mother. This was then taken over by the officers until the emergency doctor arrived.
The perpetrator had six long guns
A firearms and ballistics expert was called in to investigate. He confirmed that the 52-year-old had fired three shots from a long gun.
Two of the shots hit the 47-year-old woman and the man killed himself with one shot. He was in legal possession of a total of six long guns and had a firearms permit.
A more detailed background to the motive has not yet been established.
