A German influencer now has to answer to court because she stole 1.035 million euros from a cash transport vehicle in the Bavarian city of Cham in April 2023. She is not alone in facing Kadi: her mother (52) and her lover (56) were also involved in the mega coup.
What happened? Stefanie F. was filmed by a surveillance camera at the “crime scene” in April as she sneaked away from the cash transport van. She had previously stolen 1.035 million euros from this.
The video shows her walking away from the car with a large bag in her hand. My mother picked her up shortly afterwards from the parking lot of a nearby supermarket. Mother and daughter reportedly lived a luxurious lifestyle.
The 56-year-old driver of the cash transport van – the mother’s lover – had previously waited until his colleagues had entered a store with a suitcase of money. When they returned, he said he had been attacked by masked men. He handed the 28-year-old the bag with the money.
But where to hide so much money?
According to ‘Bild’, Stefanie F. was not particularly imaginative. She and her mother hid the stolen goods at home – in drawers, in coats, even among lingerie and in the family register. There were banknotes “everywhere,” investigators said.
They tracked down the 28-year-old and arrested her nine days later. 86,240 euros were seized during the raid.
130,000 euros cannot be found
Stefanie F. had previously tried to deposit 820,000 euros with an acquaintance, her lover according to “Bild”. But he took the money to the police. There is still no trace of almost 130,000 euros. The trio each faces five years in prison.
