The family actually wanted to go on holiday, but instead two adults (40, 43) and two children (4, 7) had to be taken to hospital: On Saturday a serious accident took place on the A2 near Pinggau in Styria.
On Saturday at 10.16 am the alarm was received by the FF Pinggau: accident on the A2! When the emergency services arrived, they saw a completely destroyed car on the emergency lane. The four occupants were able to free themselves and passers-by provided first aid. The injuries to the driver (40), her partner (43) and the children aged four and seven years old are probably mild to moderate.
A helicopter was able to leave the scene of the accident and the family was taken to LKH Oberwart.
Car flew through the air
According to police investigations, the 40-year-old may have crashed into a lowered guardrail. The vehicle was thrown into the air, overturned, hit an embankment and then came to a stop on the emergency lane. An alcohol test was negative.
