A brutal video of 22-year-old Shani Louk lying half-naked in a pickup truck next to Hamas terrorists shocked the world. After the German was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip during a music festival and her fate was unclear for weeks, her mother now announced: the young woman is no longer alive.
“Unfortunately, we received the news yesterday that my daughter is no longer alive,” Ricarda Louk told RTL/ntv. The 22-year-old’s mother recognized the tattoo artist from a video that circulated after Hamas attacked a music festival near the Gaza Strip on October 7. It showed the lifeless 22-year-old with her legs twisted and face down in the back of a vehicle.
The young woman had dual German and Israeli nationality and regularly visited her grandparents in Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg. Her father is Israeli, her mother converted to Judaism and emigrated to Israel.
