Upper Austrian FPÖ leader Manfred Haimbuchner has a particularly terrifying message on social media for his fans for Halloween this year.
The deputy governor uses the more or less popular Halloween day in Austria on October 31 as an opportunity to draw attention to migration. Because Halloween in Austria is “just like any other day,” he says in a video (accompanied by the soundtrack of John Carpenter’s cult film “Halloween”).
Then make the following comparison: “Some strangers go from house to house and want something for free.”
Children’s use from Ireland
As is known, on October 31, children go from house to house in spooky costumes and ask for candy during the custom, which originally comes from Ireland.
The video is already causing a stir on Twitter, and Haimbuchner is also being praised for it on Facebook:
If he had his way, “they wouldn’t get anything anymore,” say these “terrifying figures,” including Haimbuchner.
It is not known whether he also meant children in costumes. But perhaps caution is needed with the FPÖ man – because the custom of “trick or treating” also says that pranks are played on the knauserer if he doesn’t hand out anything sweet…
