This Tuesday marks the twenty-fifth day of war between Israel and Hamas. The total death toll is over 10,000 and over 30,000 injured. In addition, 240 people are still being kidnapped in Gaza.
This Tuesday, heavy clashes were recorded between Israeli ground forces and militiamen of the al Qasam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in the north of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said soldiers are “currently engaged in intense hand-to-hand combat eliminating terrorists” in Gaza.
“This kind of fighting endangers our armed forces and comes at a high price, and is complex but crucial,” Hagari stressed at a press conference, calling for “resilience and patience.”
In turn, the Al Qasam Brigades have indicated on their social networks that clashes are taking place today in the northwest of Gaza, where they have targeted two Israeli armored vehicles and attacked them with rockets.
Likewise, they assured that in the north of the Strip, in the Al Tauam area, they opened fire on Israeli vehicles in an ambush.
This information could not be independently verified due to restrictions imposed by both sides on journalists’ access to the area.
This Tuesday marks the twenty-fifth day of the war between Israel and Hamas, which began after the Palestinian Islamist organization attacked Israeli territory on October 7, killing 1,400 and wounding more than 5,400. In addition, 240 people were kidnapped and taken to Gaza.
Since that date, Israel has bombed the Strip daily and last Friday expanded ground operations in the area, killing more than 8,300 Palestinians and wounding more than 21,000.
