Three sisters from Upper Austria run a funeral home together and support each other after particularly tragic deaths. They spoke to the “Krone” about dealing with mourners, prejudices and their relationship to dying.
“Women grieve differently and can fall into their pain more quickly,” say three people who need to know: Ulrike Wolfsgruber (48), Margareta Staudinger (38) and Andrea Gebel (50) are sisters and run the Grünzweig funeral home in Stadl together – Paura. “We support each other, for example with childcare or after particularly tragic deaths,” explains Staudinger, a certified funeral director.
