Eager to travel to his home country, a 29-year-old Afghan made an outrageous threat to his caregiver in Klagenfurt.
“The 29-year-old Afghan citizen stated that he was going to buy a machete and use it to kill a child on the street,” police reported. “The supervisor of a legal advice center immediately called the police via an emergency call. A search for the Afghan was immediately launched.” Reason for the threat: The man wanted to leave for Afghanistan.
On the way to the 29-year-old’s home address, a radio patrol spotted the man on a public bus and was able to arrest him. “After questioning the suspect, the supervisor and a witness who was present when the threat was made, the 29-year-old was taken to Klagenfurt prison.” He is accused of “resistance to state power through severe coercion.”
