The Israeli army says it has fired at 11,000 targets in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war in the Middle East. These are targets of “terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip,” it said on Wednesday. The radical Islamic Hamas remains unyielding.
On Wednesday evening, ground forces, working with the air force and navy, attacked several “terrorist targets” in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said, including Hamas command centers and terrorist cells.
During fighting on Tuesday, ground forces tracked down several Hamas terrorists in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza. The Israeli military said they were hiding in a multi-story building near a school, a medical center and government buildings.
Dozens killed in airstrike
The ground forces then ordered the air force to attack the terrorists, it was said. Dozens of people were killed in the major attack. The Israeli military said a senior Hamas commander was also killed.
“When you see such a bombardment, it is not intended to hit a building, but what is underneath the building. The military objective is below,” explained Israeli Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli (see video above):
Hamas remains unyielding
The radical Islamists remain inflexible. “Our defense operations are ongoing. They are still at an earlier stage. With God’s help we will expand it. As we promised our enemy, Gaza will become a graveyard for him. He can’t get out of this swamp. This applies to the soldiers and the military leadership,” explains a member of the Quassam Brigades (a military branch of Hamas, ed.).
According to Israeli sources, Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, killed at least 1,400 people and kidnapped at least 240 in the area on October 7 in an unprecedented major attack on Israel.
Gaza Strip under constant fire
In response to Hamas’s attack, Israel has continuously targeted the Gaza Strip. According to Hamas information that cannot be independently verified, more than 8,500 Palestinians – including more than 3,500 children – have been killed by Israeli bombings since October 7.
