On Monday around 9 a.m., the 23-year-old drove her car onto a railway crossing in Wolfsberg despite the red light – and promptly collided with an ÖBB train carriage.
Thrown at a railway crossing
The car, which also contained the driver’s three-year-old daughter, was hit by the train carriage and thrown into the middle of the railway crossing. The driver tried to avoid a collision by braking hard.
The woman was slightly injured in the impact, but the toddler was unharmed. After initial medical treatment, both were taken to the Wolfsberg LKH by the rescue team.
There was serious damage to the car. An alcohol test on both participants was negative.
