The Swiss police carried out an operation that was anything but ordinary in the Graubünden capital Chur. On Thursday morning, an 84-year-old motorist confused the entrance to a parking garage with the entrance to the station underpass for pedestrians. Not the only misfortune that befell the gentleman…
Around 11 a.m., a man who was unfamiliar with the area drove through Alexanderstrasse in Chur towards the “Otto & Alex” parking garage with the intention of parking there. However, when entering the building, the 84-year-old confused the entrance to the parking garage with the pedestrian passage to the station underpass.
setbacks never come alone
After a short ride through the station underpass, he noticed the accident. He then tried to turn his car between the support columns. As if he hadn’t had enough bad luck, his car’s engine overheated due to a faulty cooling system.
The police ‘rescued’ vagrants
The vehicle was driven out of the underpass by a Chur city police patrol and then towed away by the breakdown service. No one was injured. The exact circumstances of the wandering are being clarified by the Chur city police. It is still uncertain whether the man will receive a punishment.
